THE TWO WITNESSES
We shall explore here that these two witnesses are literal, even though not as taught by most religions that these two are Moses and Elijah. Those who seem to believe that these two are those prophets, fail to realize how could they authenticate that these are actually Moses and Elijah. They would really be setting themselves up to be deceived by satan. Are there actually people today who could point to one and say with certainty that these men are actually who they say they are. I supposed the two could use maybe some sort of lying signs and wonders, wow what a blessing to read in Revelations that Satan would send His ministers to do this very thing.
Witness
1. Lying in the streets of the city denotes a public place, ie. prov. 1:20; ezek. 11:6;. Using this as a biblical definition the dead bodies that lie in the streets, may denote the publicness of the silence of the true church, and the Word of God. The disgrace and contempt, by distorting the word and misleading interpretations of it. The people secular and religious would follow this image of the beast in every thing that it would endeavor to do. We see in Is. 59:14 which points to a time of universal evil in the world, which is prevalent in all nations today that justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far away: For truth has stumbled in the street, and uprightness cannot enter. We see here that as in the old testament, it was God's people who had caused these calamity's to come upon themselves. It is universally so with the church the so called christians, whom Jesus in the Book of Revelations has arose to fight against. It was these very gentiles of this latter day church who has become the antichrist and trample in Word under foot. The uniting of a governmental system with a religious system always lead to a beast world system. It is these very governments that was prophetically suppose to cast the true people of God out of the synagoges, and bring you before rulers and magistrates saying that you were unpatriotic because you refuse to take their mark, or be partakers of their evil deeds.THEY HATE THE PROPHETS , WHO REPROVE THEM IN THE OPEN ASSEMBLIES. God told the faithful remnant among the apostate ones in the time of Is. 8:12; not to say that it is a confederacy. Remember His punishment that comes upon the universal church and it's leaders are because they have departed away from God's law [see the apostacy].
As you look throughout the world the burden is being shifted away from the upper classes, and it is happening according to the prophet Amos 5:11-18. It was the people of God who had transgressed God a multiple numbered of times a the priest fail to teach the people the laws of God as is this present day. There is a famine of hearing the true Word of God. During this time the prudent (spiritual wise) shall keep silence, not mere silence of tongue, but the prudent shall keep himself quiet from taking part in any public or private affairs which he can avoid; as it is "an evil time," and one in which all law is set at naught. Eph. 5:15-16 refers to this. Instead of impatiently agitating against irremediable evils, the godly wise will not cast pearls before swine, who would trample these, and rend the offerers (Matt. 7:6), but will patiently wait for God's time of deliverance in silent submission(psalms 39:9). God will so plaque them that they will punish the Godly saying that it is their fault that God is doing this, not realizing that they themselves are their own undoing.The Woe of God is heard upon them, perplexity at every turn, for they have desired the Day of the Lord, not knowing it was a day of darkness for them and not light, for their own deeds are return upon their heads. Amos 5:18.
